ELECTION DAY!!

So first off I am super excited that today is Election Day, and we as Americans can exercise our right to vote that so many people fight, defend and die for. If you are one of the AMAZING people who have fought, defended or even died THANK YOU!!  Everyone who is eligible and registered to vote needs to educate themselves and get out there and VOTE!!  Its soooo very important to let your voice be heard!!

Second since it is fall...and lately I have been feeling rather fall-ish in mood and can’t seem to get enough of the season I decided to make caramel apples.  Now it has always been something that I wanted to do but I always thought it was too hard or too time intensive...WOW was I wrong!  It was SUPER EASY!!! All you have to do is buy a bag of Kraft Caramels, unwrap them put them in a pot, add 2 Tbsp of water.  You wash and dry about 5 apples and place a stick in them (I used popsicle sticks) THATS IT!! Super easy you melt the caramel stirring constantly.  Then you dip the apples in caramel and decorate them how ever you want them. I used chopped up cocktail nuts, semisweet chocolate chips, and rainbow sprinkles.

Here is mine :)

Then after I made the apples the oven decided to have a mind of its own and go into self cleaning mode and not come out of it, so I had to go out searching to the best value in an oven, that took about an hour and the new oven was delivered that afternoon :) I picked it out and everything I made all the decisions YAY :) the new oven is amazing that night I made dinner, beef stew I threw it all together (meat, carrots, tomatoes, and potatoes) around 4 and we ate by 6

So with the new oven in and all I felt like baking even more... I decided to make fall cupcakes and decorate them all fall-ish.  Quite simple actually, just a box of cake mix any brand, cupcake liners, a can of vanilla frosting, and fall candy.   For the fall candy I used candy corn, candy pumpkins, skittles, and Reese's Pieces.

Thats all for now...more misadventures to come... GO VOTE if you havent yet!!
